Authories look for two people in Sissonville robbery

SISSONVILLE, W.Va. — Kanawha County deputies are searching for two suspects involved in an overnight robbery in Sissonville.

It happened at a home on the 3600 block of Falcon Drive at around 12:30 a.m. Monday morning.

Cpl. Brian Humphreys, a spokesperson for the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department, said the victim, a 60-year-old man, called 911 to report he was being robbed after he answered the door of his home.

“They came into the house, they tied him up, and then they rummaged through his things and then took off,” said Humphreys.

Humphreys said the two suspects got away with thousands of dollars in cash and some other properties they stole from the resident.

“The investigating deputies do have some leads in the case. We’re going to let that play out and see how things go,” he said.

Humphreys said greed is the most common motive in these types of cases, but it is not the only motive in all home invasion robberies.

Humphreys said no one was seriously injured and no arrests have been made.
