Another new attorney in Kanawha County murder case

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — An accused murderer is getting a new attorney for a fourth time.

Miguel Quinones, 35, was in Kanawha County Circuit Court Monday for a hearing. One of his attorneys told Judge Joanna Tabit he had to withdraw because he had previously represented a potential witness in the case.

Quinones is charged with murder and conspiracy in the 2013 beating death of Kareem Hunter. Hunter’s body was found in a shallow grave near Beckley.

Judge Tabit has scheduled a status hearing in the case for May 13.
