CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Kanawha County Schools will add an additional make-up day to the end of the year after a scheduled make-up day Monday was cancelled due to overnight snow.
Superintendent Ron Duerring had planned to have students in school Monday, which was originally a day off for Presidents Day.
Students will now be in school on March 25, Good Friday, and from May 25-June 2, with the exception of Memorial Day off on Monday, May 30.
Kanawha County has now missed seven school days, most of which came over a period of five days before and after the January winter storm.
Putnam County Schools will add five make-up days at the end of the school year: June 3, June 6, and June 7-9.
