CHARLESTON, W.Va. –A Sissonville man who was convicted of raping a child received the maximum prison sentence Wednesday.
Nicholas Quade, 25, was sentenced to 60 to 185 years in prison by Kanawha County Circuit Court Judge Tera Salango.
In August, Quade pleaded guilty to five charges, which included first-degree sexual assault, sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, or person in a position of trust and first-degree sexual abuse.
Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office deputies had responded to CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital in February 2024. The victim, who was nine at the time, told them that Quade had sexually assaulted her.
If Quade is ever released from prison, he will have to serve 50 years of extended supervision as well as register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
