CHARLESTON, W.Va – West Virginians wanting to head to the Sunshine State can do so from Yeager International Airport starting this Friday as Breeze Airways launches service to Tampa.

It’s an exciting development for CRW, and chief marketing officer Paige Withrow said they heard what the community wanted and put it into action.

“We’ve seen a strong demand for service to Florida, so the return of this nonstop route with Breeze just provides another affordable and convenient option for passengers while also making it easier for visitors to come to Charleston and visit our state,” she said.

Breeze already offers flights to Orlando and Newark, with Withrow noting that West Virginians are already taking advantage of what Breeze has to offer. She thinks with the expanded service, it’s only going to bring more satisfied travelers through the gates at CRW.

“We’ve had nearly 80,000 travelers that have flown with Breeze to or from CRW since May of 2023. Breeze has been a great partner, and they promised to continue to grow at our airport,” she said.

According to Withrow, the public shows a lot of excitement for the new flights coming out of Charleston. She said that Breeze provides quality travel options and encourages people to come out and try it.

“We’ve had a great response from the community. If you’ve flown Breeze, you know they have nice, new planes, so it’s a comfortable trip as well, and if you haven’t tried them yet, we really encourage you to jump on one of these routes,” she said.

Breeze Airways’ service from CRW to Tampa International Airport runs Mondays and Fridays beginning on October 3.
