KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. — Kanawha County authorities have identified the man killed after being struck by a pickup truck.
Harvey Slonaker II, of 53, of Alum Creek, died after being hit Wednesday morning on Childress Road.
The incident happened around 6:30 a.m. on an incline. Deputies said fog may have been a factor.
Investigators noted the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and called 911.
An investigation is underway.
