98.7 The Beat has large turn out for 11th Annual Trick-or-Beat at Appalachian Power Park

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Costumes, candy, music and food made up the 11th Annual 98.7 The Beat’s Trick-or-Beat event at Appalachian Power Park.

Families lined Morris Street in Charleston Thursday night for the event. Children ages 12 and younger were able to walk around the concourse of the ball park, stopping at candy stations along the way.

Luke, 10, of Alum Creek, was dressed as Hillary Clinton — in prison gear.

“I’m Hillary in a jail costume!” he said.

Jessie Jackson was with her two twin girls, dressed as bumble bees.

“Nicolea and Nicolette — they’re identical twin girls,” she said, wearing a bumble bee costume of her own as the “Mama Bee.”

Chloe Williams, an intern at CAMC and WVU student, was passing out candy.

“I enjoy it a lot. It was cute to see all of them and they’re happy to be able to come out, so we’re happy to help,” she said.

Her favorite costume she saw?

“We saw Donald Trump and he was adorable. He had dollar bills clipped to his little tie so that was cute,” she said.

Thursday night’s event was also hosted by West Virginia Radio Corporation and the West Virginia Power baseball team.
