DUNBAR, W.Va. — Mayor Scott Elliott says he’s pleased a large retail space has been filled.
Elliott said a Dollar Tree has opened up in the place where Joann Fabric’s used to be in Fletcher’s Square adjacent to the Dunbar Plaza.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held last week, Elliott said.
“It is the largest Dollar Tree in the valley,” Elliott said.
Elliott said it’s good to be able to fill the space rather quickly.
“We were worried about it being an empty building for a long time,” he said.
Joann Fabric’s closed its doors on May 31. It was the last Joann Fabric’s in West Virginia at the time.
