MARMET, W.Va. — A woman died from her injuries on the way to the hospital, after she was hit by a driver Monday night.
That is according to Marmet Police Captain Paris Workman who says that Rebecca Estep was 47-years-old.
Several witnesses told police she was walking in the area of 100th Street and MacCorkle Avenue SE when the incident happened a little after 7 p.m..
When police got on the scene they say she was lying in the road and several people were gathered around her. She suffered an injury to her head.
The driver stayed at the scene, police said Monday night. Workman says no charges are expected to be filed at this time.
