Tuesday 11:30 a.m. update     All lanes have reopened.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Authorities closed four of six lanes of Interstate 64 near the Oakwood Road exit in Charleston Tuesday morning after a tractor trailer lost part of its load that caused a crash in the opposite lanes of traffic.

The tractor trailer lost two large metal pipes off the trailer at a few minutes after 9 a.m. in the westbound lanes. Some debris from the crash also fell across the median wall into the eastbound lanes causing a two-vehicle crash with injuries.

Charleston police had to close two lanes in both directions for clean-up and to conduct their investigation.

The wrecks backed up Tuesday morning rush hour traffic.
