CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Judge Richard Lindsay, II, is the newest judge in Kanawha County.
Lindsay was elected to the 8th Judicial Circuit Court and took the oath of office on Friday at his investiture ceremony, which was administered by Justice Charles Trump.
Lindsay took office at the beginning of the year.
Lindsay says he’s appreciative of the large crowd that came out to support him Friday, and he’s ready to get to work.
“Today is a wonderful day. I’m so glad to see so many friends and family that made it out today,” Lindsay said. “Justice Trump, of course, is always wonderful. I appreciate his friendship and his willingness to come out here and swear me in, and I look forward to being on the bench.”
Lindsay, the Appalachian School of Law graduate, served as a State Senator for Kanawha County from 2018 to 2022.
