CHARLESTON, W.Va.— People who have enjoyed the 2024 WV Vacation Guide now have the chance to pre-order the new 2025 Vacation Guide from the WV Department of Tourism.
People wanting to pre-order can opt-in when they are requesting a free copy of the 2024 Vacation Guide. The opt-in button is at the bottom of the request form for the 2024 version.
This year, the WV Department of Tourism was able to distribute over a quarter of a million copies of the guide to people across the nation and around the world.
Governor Jim Justice says that with the sells reaching that number, it has really helped tourism in the state.
“It’s a big big big boost to tourism all across the state,” he said
2025’s vacation guide was designed in partnership with Dotdash Meredith, who is the leading publisher of Southern Living, Real Simple and Parent’s magazines.
“This new coffee table-style guide is one of the most beautiful we’ve ever produced, and I’m thrilled folks can receive it hot off the press at the beginning of the new year,” said West Virginia Department of Tourism Secretary Chelsea Ruby in a press release. “This piece includes stunning photography, hidden gems and must-do activities to inspire your next trip to the Mountain State. If you’ve already received a 2024 Vacation Guide, share an extra copy with a family member or friend and opt-in to be among the first to receive the new guide in 2025!”
In the guide people will be able to see experiences that highlight ways to explore the outdoors, experience mountain culture, and how to escape and unwind. They will also see places to eat in Appalachia, see where the Almost Heaven swings are located, and learn how to experience WV in all four of its seasons.
Justice said that when people pre-order the guide and receive it, they will be impressed by the contents.
“Put your pre-order in and we’ll get you a travel guide,” he said. “You’ll be really really impressed with what you see there.”
