TORNADO, W.Va.— An ATV crash that left one left one-person dead Saturday evening is being investigated by the Kanawha County Sheriff’s office.

Kanawha County resident, Mark Wayne Snodgrass, 57, crashed his ATV in the 1100 block of Gore Addition Road in Tornado.

Investigators believe that Snodgrass drove his ATV off of the roadway, which caused it to rollover and strike a utility pole. Deputies have determined that alcohol consumption and reckless driving were likely to have been contributing factors to the incident.

And the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office reminds the public of the importance of safe driving practices and the dangers of operating any vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
