HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — The husband of a Huntington woman who died Sunday has been arrested on unrelated charges.
Robert Lee Daniels, 55, was apprehended Wednesday afternoon in Mingo County on outstanding felony warrants for threats of terroristic acts and retaliation against a public official.
Daniels’ wife, Michelle Daniels, 47, of Huntington, was found last Friday with severe injuries in her 12th Avenue home with severe injuries following a wellness check. She died in the hospital on Sunday evening and her death was ruled a homicide, according to the Huntington Police Department.
West Virginia State Police and the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department made the arrest on Daniels, but he has not been charged in the death of his wife. Detectives stated Tuesday that they were searching for Daniels for questioning in his wife’s death.
