Brush fire turns into damaging house fire in Sissonville

UPDATE 6:22 p.m. — A structure fire in Sissonville stemmed from a brush fire Tuesday afternoon.

Brush fires were reported around 1:30, and soon turned into a house fire, resulting in property loss.

Multiple fire departments in the area assisted in fighting the blaze.

No one was injured in the fire.

SISSONVILLE, W.Va. — Fire crews from Kanawha and Jackson counties are battling a large brush fire in the Sissonville area of Kanawha County this afternoon.

The blaze was reported at about 1:30 in the 6800 block of Allen Fork Road.

The flames have reportedly damaged homes in the area.
