DUNBAR, W.Va. — Police say a Jackson County man was killed early Saturday morning when the scooter he was operating on Interstate 64 was struck from behind by a motorist.

Dunbar police said the Vespa scooter that Joshua Casto, 27, of Evans, was operating was not allowed to be on the interstate. It had no license and had no lights.

Investigators said the scooter was traveling way below the 70 mph posted speed limit.
