RAND, W.Va. — The West Virginia Department of Highways and Governor Jim Justice announced Friday the winning bid for a nearly $5.5 million storm sewers project in Rand.
AMPECO Inc. had the winning bid at $5,459,299, which is far less than what WVDOH experts thought the project was going to cost.
This is one of several upcoming projects to help the unincorporated Kanawha County town combat serious drainage problems.
The project will be paid for with federal PROTECT grant funds.
