LOUDENDALE, W.Va. — After a lapse in paperwork temporarily shut the doors of the Loundendale Volunteer Fire Department this week, the department says it expects to resume operations Saturday.
The fire department closed Wednesday after failing to maintain workers compensation coverage for its workers.
A Loudendale Volunteer Fire Department spokesperson said it was thought the paperwork process would keep the station closed through the weekend, but the paperwork was finalized by an insurance company and finished on Friday.
In the time of no operation, crews from Malden and Davis Creek were available to cover any emergencies that were called in from the Loudendale area.
