SISSONVILLE, W.Va. — 21-year-old Jeremiah Gibson, of Sissonville, was arrested Wednesday night for a felony charge of sexual assault in the third degree.

Detectives from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation on July 8, 2024, after being called to the residence of a 14-year-old female victim.
Detectives had the evidence needed to obtain a warrant for Gibson’s arrest.
The victim disclosed to her grandparents that her and Gibson allegedly had sexual intercourse four times dating back to June 13, 2024.
Gibson was arrested and arraigned in Kanawha County Magistrate Court and is being held in South Central Regional Jail. Gibson has a $25,000, cash-only bond.
Gibson is expected to have a preliminary hearing next week.
