Person hit by car in Shrewsbury remains in critical condition

SHREWSBURY, W.Va. — A person remain in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle in Shrewsbury Monday night.

It happened in the 3100 block of Route 60 at around 8:50 p.m.

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department obtained roadway evidence that showed the male victim was in the middle of the eastbound lane when he was hit.

Deputies said the victim suffered serious injuries. He was transported to CAMC General Hospital and is currently in critical condition.

The driver and passenger of the vehicle were from Clay County, according to deputies. The two were not injured in the crash.

An investigation remains active. No charges are expected to be filed against the driver.
