Charleston police investigate late-night shooting

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Police are investigating a shooting.

A woman was shot in the chest at around 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 1800 block of 7th Avenue on Charleston’s West Side.

Police were on the scene.

There weren’t many details released initially.
