BELLE, W.Va. — A deadly wreck involving a pedestrian in Kanawha County was being investigated on Saturday morning.
Emergency officials reported one person died after being hit by a vehicle on Rt. 60 in Belle near the intersection of Kanawha Boulevard and E. 21st Street.
The wreck happened before 1 a.m. Saturday and it was around 3:30 a.m. before Rt. 60 fully reopened to traffic, according to Metro 911.
Deputies with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department were leading the investigation.
Crews from both Kanawha County EMS and Belle Fire also assisted at the wreck scene.
